The Elemental Series

This series was born to acknowledge the oneness of all things. Plato separated the basis of all things into 4 elements, Aristotle added a fifth “quint-essential” one –which I have adapted. The 5 Elemental Series is an ode to those things we are all made of. All. And to the Oneness we belong to, and the Oneness we are embraced by, even when we forget and feel alone. Our truth is love, respect and cooperation and this series is a hymn to that.

We live in a world where disconnection has become a slow infection to our souls. In that disconnection we despair, we ache, we weep in secret loneliness. Yet, disconnection is just part of a story we have been told. Our real story, our true nature, is one of Oneness, of deep connection. In our lost sense of self, we have invented a hierarchy to control our own fears, and in that pyramid we have painted ourselves as “superior” to all that surrounds us, but at that top –we stand in ultimate alienation. In the “Descent of Man” Darwin mentions “survival of the fittest” twice, and the word “love” 97 times. The “story of our nature” has been a misrepresented lie that we no longer need to perpetuate.

The truth is that we are inexorably connected in oneness to everything that surrounds us. Our life force just as alive as the one of the wind filled with dust, pollen, and perfume or the gurgling laughter of the running stream. Our beating heart just as vibrant as a volcano, the flutter of a hummingbird, or lightning in a thunderstorm. The atoms that vibrate in that diamond or in that ocean, are just as the ones that vibrate through my flesh. And in supreme joyful creativity, they have all been arranged in different compositions, to live, to nurture, to beat together.
